Dissecting the bladder from the lower uterine segment and entering the anterior cul-de-sac without injuring the bladder is a major obstacle that prevents more hysterectomies from being performed vaginally. This report describes a simplified technique to reach the anterior cul-de-sac, which makes it easier for gynecologists to learn and master the most challenging part of a vaginal hysterectomy.
