In a surprise ruling on June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act, 5-4, in a victory for President Obama who had signed the Act into law on March 23, 2010. Before describing the direct impact this ruling has on women, I think it’s worthwhile to review the Court’s decision.
